Golf buggy kiting at Seaview, Cott. golf course....during the day of course! Finally thinking...seriously the course is perfect for the sport...certainly not for playing traditional golf...high winds, knarrly bushes, lausy hard packed fairways. But the oposition at the club...why, because you don't go there to play golf...but watch the joggers and swimmers.......

Carbine, have you tried a FlySurfer? They're great for water, land, snow & ice - once you've flown one you'll be using it a lot more than twice a year! See www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2297 for other benefits.

Also consider using a DirtSurfer dirtsurfer.com/ because they're: easy to chuck in a car, fast, have brakes, not as hard on your back, have less "footprint" on bike paths, etc and the unique steering geometry makes turns feel MUCH more like carving a kiteboard - also great for downhill if there's no wind

There's a couple of shots of DirtSurfer with 5m FlySurfer Maniac down at Scarborough in a Westerly at the bottom of members.iinet.net.au/~ianyoung/kiteski.html

Kite landboarding with mountain boards is increasing in popularity all over the world.
Perth and WA especially, has huge expanses of beaches and salt pans to use them on.
The newer style boards like the latest ones from MBS and Dirt Theory, and also Flexifoils kite specific boards are easy to use they really do feel a lot like kiteboarding on water, sort of.
Check out the kitepower website (www.kitepower.com.au) for a huge range of boards and foils to suit every budget.
I guarantee you will not use them just a couple of times a year!
