WAKSA is pleased to make available the first set of site guides for the most popular locations in the Perth Metro Region. Guides are available for Brighton, Cottesloe, Leighton, Melville, Pelican Point, Pinnaroo and Woodman Point.

The guides provide information about a location, detailing where it is, the wind and water conditions, local guidelines and a simple rating system.

The guides are not a rule book, they are not enforcable (unless local council/DPI/CALM rules have be issued); they are designed to give kiters the opportunity to follow some guidelines that will allow access to be maintained and ensure continuous safety for all.

We will be adding more guides as the season progresses covering more of our amazing state.

As always WAKSA welcomes feedback from the kiting community and if you have any comments and/or suggestions about the guides then please get in touch.

Safe kiting!

Attention Melville Kiters

The buoys mentioned in the Melville Site Guide are not in place yet but will be soon.

Also - A smiley face goes to the first person who can tell me who's sitting on the bench seat in the photo on the front of the Meville guide.

that would be gruezi, having a smoko break i would say.

Can we get some rules added to these like what right of way they use at the places (I really dont think it would help at melville though, so many people not following the rules).
