Hi Steph,
Andris is right, you're coming just a bit too late for the good winds. By April the seabreezes start getting really light, like 10-15 knots which isn't much fun. Pretty much the strongest seabreeze we'll get in April/May is 13-18 knots, otherwise the only wind we'll get will be from the first of the winter fronts, meaning gusty and generally Westerly (you can only safely kite a Westerly in Perth in one spot and that's Woodman Point). However it's not all bad news cos so far this season has been very unpredictable: it started 3 months late and the breezes on average have been particularly strong, so who knows, we might get good winds through April & May! If you head out of Perth up to Geraldton (450km) and as far North as Exmouth (about 1200km) you're more likely to get decent 15-20 knot + breezes in April/May.
