Where in or around Perth can you kite in The Easterly winds of winter?
Is South better than Northern areas?
Or, should they just be given a miss?
It's a bit of a frustrating time of year for all I guess.

Other Options:

• South Perth in NE-E but stay out of the ferry channels


• Peli Pt in ESE-SSE but don't launch in the CALM Reserve past the fence


• With a jetski and a buddy @ 4 Mile Reef (offshore from Triggs-Hillary's)


• Rotto

Thompson Bay is great in E - but you need to keep clear of the ferries obviously - there's a really nice little wave on the sandbar NE of the jetty (can't remember the name of the break)

NE is directly onshore @ Thompson but is sideshore South of Natural Jetty. Some of the other Northern Bays are also workable.

SE Stickland Bay is side shore but it can switch offshore quickly if it gets too much East in it. Many of the other Southern Bays are workable in E-SE.
