Let me say that Lancelin was EPIC this w/e
2m faces common, up to 3m........

SAT: so OK, I f.cked up, kite too small, got eaten. Should have gybed ....still think I could have got over that mother...... Swim in from 1 km out

no probs, only ripped out my 5th line, destroyed my oh **** handle, broke my front port side line. It only took 2 hours to sort out the mess. I was out there again. Main break to myself, everyone else back in the pub I guess. S'pose you get that when its night time.

SUN: 25kn, surf UP, cruising on the surf board on a 7m kite to spare the repaired lines...........groooooooveey. Hmmmmmm.....30kn, better change to the 122 flx to get grip on the water. Amazing what a little lateral resistance does to string tension.

TWANG!

Cleaned out second day in a row, swim in from 1.5km south passage lano (do I have a big "L" on my head??

Hey, but I'm still smiling

But I DID RE- learn some lesons.
Never compromise on your lines. Don't trust a bowline!

Oh, and NEVER miss an epic swell[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]

Oh, and a big thanx to the pole surfer who held onto my board until I got my sh1t together. I'll fax you my 1st born

Hey, I heard about you from the blokes I live with last night.

I can't believe you knocked back the offer of a tow in.

The guy who held your board is James 'Browney', he won Smackfest last year, a Tassie local. The guy who offered youa lift is Dougal Harris.

I'm trying to get them off their primitive pole boards but they won't listen.

Hey Gasman
Saturday was 30-35 kts and gusty as. Sunday got up to 40 kts in the arvo. Got a kite Sunday morning before it got ballistic, then decided to retire thinking it wasn't a great day to die.
This week is looking all time, just wish I had waves.
