Hi everyone,

Anyone shout me some idea as to what the pond is like to kite in WNW winds or Westerly?
Also, does the swell wash over the sand bar given the larger swell.

Thanks in advance.

It's alright in a Westery, too much North and it gets cut up by the trees. It's too protected to get any swell in the bay. I've got the day off so i'm going to head down for a look myself.

NW at the pond is OFFSHORE.

It is protected by a few kilometers of land and houses.
The wind is heavily corrupted by this land and also by the 100 foot Norfolk pine trees that line the coast.

Kiting at the pond in a NW is ** and very dangerous, plenty of other spots around with flat water just look and use your head. (google the area, it will appear)

And the place is ROCKO
Be safe, if there is no one out, there could be a reason.

I just popped down. Too much north for the yacht club but around the corner at shoalwater/penguin island is looking real good and I've got it to myself at the
moment. Nice little waves out back but still nice and flat in close.

Nah. Just posted from my phone as a courtesy to anyone else heading down that way.

Had a sick session. It was more than a bit gusty and had to endure a bit of rain but I was lit on my 7m for like 3 hours. I haven't been powered up like that since last summer. Not a single other kliter out which was a bit of a drag though.
