Hi Guys,
Cronulla is Kilometres long but there is only about 400m of useful side shore wind where it comes through without too much turbulence. This is why everyone stays close to Wanda and doesn't like going down to Greenhills, both sailboarders and kiters.
Kiters and Sailboarders should stay well clear of the flags at all times. I agree with 'slave in that learners should take their place ie out of everyones way until thier skills are honed to the point where they can sail confidently and competently in close proximity to other kiters, sailboarders and surfers and use the wave.
If you are learning and are not carving the wave, then please do not go through the main section of the break, this upsets people who are focused on the lip. If you aren't up-to-speed, please just stay out on the shoulder or play on a wave that, although maybe not being perfect for smacking, will be perfect for practicing your kite handling and board skills. There are numerous sections and sandbars at Cronulla.
Kiters and sailboarders play together well when both riders have the skills to use the waves and the respect enough to join the lineup and take your place. Share the waves, respect each others and be polite if possible, violence never solved anything at the beach, as we have seen not so long ago with the Cronulla riots.
Good waves and wind
