Just found my mates webber tufflite for sale on ebay complete with predator footstraps.

Webbers are nice boards i reckon, I ride one myself (unstrapped though). I was just wondering what you guys think of the predator system?

I have tried fully strapped, but coming from a surfing background hated the feeling of being locked in one place. Was thinking board might suit overpowered or big wave sessions, if you can still get your feet to move around when you want.

Anyway, board is similar to what i'm already riding just in better condition. Suppose i can always take the straps off if i don't like them.

cheers

saw these being developed just as the surf thing was taking off - great idea
too bad there is such a movement to unstrapped riding -

it would have cost heaps to get these into production - but the market has disappeared

Guys who have used them say they are ok

they are great as a front strap, cant twist your knee and you can move your foot back.

Hey Fav,

Another option is the Airush sky hooks.

I should be over your way in a couple of weeks. If you can wait that long then your more than welcome to take them off my board for a try.

Felt a bit weird at first but after a couple of sess I've found them easy to use, really don't get in the way at all.
Can hook your feet under them in the rougher stuff. Best of both worlds.

You better have an early night tomorrow night cause theres a big swell coming your way.

I hope your not teasing about a new swell. Only about 1ft at the moment with flukey wind and rain. Not looking promising

I don't know how your straps are connected(normal plugs or the Habitat system) but the new Predator deckpad/strap system is sensational. If you are kiting/towing in solid waves, you can't get any other straps/system that comes close to these for safe/smart design and build quality.
