Can't belive this but yesterday at Yorkeys a guy rocked up with a complete new set of gear and started to rig up. A couple of us figured it he had no idea what he was doing when after watching him inflate the kite. As he was setting up on the beach 3 different locals went over to offer some advice and question if he had had some instruction. He was really rude to all 3 and proceeded to launch and get dragged into the trees on his first 2 attempts. narrowly missing a family. He did get the kite up and proceeded to get into the water when one of the locals ( MR T ) not his real name told him to go up to the beginner area. After a breif round of insults the aggressive newbie told Mr T who was kiting at the time that he would kill him if if he did't leave him alone. So with that Mr T dropped his kite and a full on punch up wrestle developed on the beach. Mr T relaunced his kite and kept riding and the newbie packed up his kite and left in a hurry. I guess this is better than him taking out about 3 families who were sitting directly in the firng line of this maniac.
I doubt whether we see him here again.... but we did try to offer help .....
there better not be a ranting in the local community paper by witnesses as it would appear to be a some form of kite rage going on, were already portrade as careless in some places.
