Now that seabreeze season is here it would be great if we all understood what the rules and regs are for kiting in Cott. I have seen the main jest of the restrictions but still have a few Q's

I dont think I have seen anywhere that outlines the go and no-go zones in the cott shire as they apply with the latest Cott by-laws. It would be great if some one from WAKSA or the cott action group could post on here the actual go and no-go zones as they know apply to Cott. I sure you guys have already covered some or not all of it and know you are getting signs made.

Anyway excuse a dumb guy and it would be good if some one could answer the below Q's

If we launch at rossssss street but can we still kite in the cove and at isolators?

If the wind drops out can we land at the phone box and walk back up the sand with kites flying.

If we stay 200m off the beach as we pass thru the cott shire do the bylaws regarding public liability insurance/WAKSA membership apply?

If we have WAKSA membership can we kite anywhere within the 200m zone in the cott shire? (does this mean we can kite behind the main groyne on those oh so nice little banks and jump over the bell tower?)Or dose the no board sport bylaw from north of main groyne to north cot surf club still apply.

Thanks

PS
Dont worry, WAKSA and Cott action group most of the crew appreciate the hard work that has been done to date to keep the beach open for kiters....

Shane missed your call last week was in Queensland for work. Kiting is restricted in Cottesloe to South of Rosendo Street. If you pass out of the 200m zone Cott shire doesn't give a ratz. Walking up the beach from the cove if wind drops out is gonna happen, walk back up from the cove, and kiting the waves in that area is totally restricted, if you see me down there I am only doing some wave research for WAKSA and the council. You may feel this is unfair and full of cronyism but stuff you all thats my spot..........
In all seriousness a few wave kiters zipping about in that area is not in my opinion, a problem..

The main issue at Cott was the serious conjestion/ scared beach users/ and kiters across the raod. With 99% of kiter sup at Rosendo street we will have few problems.

A word of warning to everyone, Ask all learners to kite go to leighton near the over bridge. Weve a few learners turning ap at Cott in the last month, and these dudes will get us banned.

Kite hard.

have already asked a few to move to leighton while they learn
but what are these guys thinking when the reef at the moment is sucking dry on a low tide and they are going to spend most of there time getting draged across it, smart kiting is safe kiting
