Hey guys ,
Im coming down to the gold coast in mid april for a wedding and was hoping to get a bit of time on the water. From what ive already read on this forum things appear to be fairly agro on the beach at the moment. Im a Jaapie and lived in Johannesburg for most of my life, had enough of unwarranted aggression so could you guys let me know what you can and cant do. From what ive gathered so far , stay downwind of the flags and then the usual kiting etiquette. Not to worry guys im not a beginner so not about to come and fck up the kite area.
Anyways what are the good spots and whats the wind gonna be like?
It would be sweet if i could hook up with a couple of you while im there.

Kite were you like mate, just avoid agro narrowneck at main beach, for some reason everyone wants to kite in the busiest most touristy spot (2nd to Surfers) on the coast, which is causing tension between some people. Theres 26 miles of beach to play with, so stay out the flagged areas and have some fun. If you like flat water head to the broadwater, and you will see other kites out at the best spots, no agro there either, so enjoy.
