Gday all, never kited in the rain before, just wondering if its possible, and if so what effect on the kite can i expect?

Make sure you dry it before packing it up cause the fresh water (rain) will make it mouldy and kill your kite

It is not too bad i have done it . Beware thoe the best wind stoper is rain so dont go out too far and dont go if it looks like storm, lighting .

If there is lightening then keep the kite low.

Kite behaves like a wet kite-unless wind is honking, my REV2s tend to be slow, heavy and less responsive when wet

Wet kite=Wet full bag. no one likes a full bag, too hard to carry!!!!!!!

Some of my favorite sessions have been in the rain, It doesn't affect your kite too much, but as everyone has said "wet kite = wet bag".The only downside to kiting in the rain, Plus it hurts a bit.

Don't you mean "my Rev2's tend to be even slower, much heavier and even less responsive when wet"?
Nah-I really like my Rev2s-been kiting 10 years or so and tried a heap of kites in that time-so far it's my favourite.
