anyone use a camel back(or pack..I think their called) while kiteing???

Am looking at doing downwinders more often and would like to take some water for the trip.

Are they comfy to wear or not worth the hassle.

I've got one of those hats with two beers on top and the straws!

ha ha.....yeah I have one of them at home too.
Maybe a bit of elastic sowen on for a chin strap to keep it on should do the job.

I have two a small Hydroback



and a classic 3l - i use this for the longer sessions - it has a little pocket that you can slip your keys into too.

Is it annoying to wear or no worries?

You dont really notice it so long as the flappy bits are either tied up or tucked away.

They are really handy things to have especially if your into other things like Cycling, long walks etc etc etc etc. even working round the house/garden where you dont want to stop what your doing to go and get a drink.

I use one- it's just a cheap one from an outdoor shop - around $20 on sale. Holds 1.5L and has a chest strap. It's fantastic- you don't feel it but it helps having a sip every now and again. No more dehydration/ dry mouth/ pickled tongue.

Hi guys, after using your camelbak rinse the bladder out then put it in the freezer until you next use it. Kills the bugs.
