I'm trying to decide the best quiver for this season. I am moving from Bunbury to Perth in a week and was wondering what would be the best quiver of Rebels 08 to ride in Perth (Summer & Winter).

I weight about 66kg and have been riding for over 2 years. I ride a flx 132 on the waves.

Was thinking in getting a 12m, 9m & 6m quiver, but it's too pricey... so I wonder if a 10m & 7m can get me going most days.

I can ride my vegas 06 12m in 12kts, I wonder if I'd be able to do the same with a Rebel 08 10m.

Poor rel have you made any adjustments to your 9? was out in 18 knots with 22 knots gust of cold wind the other day and had some issues with the back stall and just didn’t think it really rode that well when other guys at 10 to 15kgs more than me were on 10 meter and 8 meter c kites, I think its to do with the 5th line being too short and not letting the kite catch enough wind as it flares really easy, thinking of doing the same mod as last year and adjusting to make the 5th line longer. Have you done that on yours – wasn’t an issue up in perth but then I only rode it in low end of 16 knots on flat water once and high end of 30 knots, not 2 meter + wave dumpers in 18 knots like other day down here so that might have made me felt a little underpowered !

I would go the 10 meter for your weight, I ride a 132 tt and last year rode the 10 meter from low end of 15 knots and able to go upwind to the top end of 25 knots comfortably - was my one kite quiver for some time, also have to take into account the 08 low ends improved somewhat from last year, after saying that I love my 12 meter 08 the most though and I only kite a handful of times in Perth per year so not realy horses for courses...

You only need 1 Rebel.

i going to get a 14.. and that will get me from 15-30.
im a tough little battler.. but rebels have so much de-power you can use them in most cases.

I used to think the same way as Rebel and only had a 14m Rebel, since moving to WA forget it, i bought an 08' 10m Rebel as well, at 90 odd kilos this thing has some really great low end and is super stable. Mate unless you 130 Kg you wouldnt be riding your 14m in a 30 Kt WA seabreeze i can assure you of that. Go the 08 Rebels awesome kites.
