I will not talk much because many people say that the G-Land is still the best. How about you?

Playgrounds, maccas, lances, bintang ...for Indo and surfing you simply just cannot go past the Mentawai's...oh and also Nias if that is still working after the quakes and tsunami.

Gland is ok
Lombok is Ok

Mentawais are awesome..... no crowds, clean water awesome

If any one has been lucky enough to get desert point on an epic day would have to agree its definetly up there, pitty its rare.Same with supersuck at 6 foot.Left some nice chuncks of skin on that reefbut well worth the pits.

PULL IN ITS ONLY SKIN .use to yell that at each other when they were takeing off on a heavy wave on low tide

Some places are best left unsaid.
Had this place firing with no-one else around 1993
After a year trucking round Indo seeking waves this was the place.
No hotel, No loseman, No hagglers, No running water, No electric
Diet of rice and fruit
Lots of dogs and great waves

My mate is a non surfer, he got this sick wave whilst pissed at All Stars Cafe.

Tubes restuarant, Poppies lane. Has good one to

But seriously Padang Padang is hard to beat on it's day. I just wish I was fit enough, that's one wave you don't want to be caught inide on.

I hit up a boat trip in 2000 around lombok........ bunch of crazy yanks on it and we scored Dessert Point with 16ft faces. The ozzie guy who organizes the boat trips said we'd be in for a treat as Desserts is so fickle.

The guys from Santa Cruz were taking off under gunned on the peak. Amazing to watch from the shoulder. No way I was taking that on. There were guys getting three stand up barrel sections all the way to the inside. It was so big, we anchored way out and cruised into the line up on the little rib. I remember it well, this old indo guy was driving it and it conked out and we were drifting towards where it was breaking just out the channel with a clean up set coming throught. It just started for the old guy as we bailed over the side ha ha

Such a shallow reef on the inside eh?
