Hey

Is there anything I can do to free up the bullets that go into the trailing edge lines at the kite, used when activating (or trying to) the relaunch system. I can never get the relaunch system to work on the Cabrinhas, before you all say,

"...clean out the sand..."

It is clean and I test it when I hook up the lines, but when ever I seem to need it it never works..

Personally I think the relauch facility on the Cabs are crap but I have them I may aswell use them.

Would for example wax on the bullet help...? Any ideas.

A Quick spray of silicone lubricant should help, but will need to be re-applied each session.

Hope this helps,

i recon its a good system ay...

i got a 2004 12m Co2 and once u pop the bullet out its really easy for the kite to swing on its side for a relaunch - u just gotta yank on one side rather quick to pop it out - also i reach further up the line when i do this.

do admit tho - 1 side seems to pop out easier then the other. Have heard of guys sanding down the bullets abit as well - just round off the edges abit.

i like the way it works cept its a pain having all the extra ropes n stuff permanently attached to the kite + my battons seem to wear out rather quick then need replacing/glueing, guess its considered old now and there's now better ways to make kites - oh well

Just to make it a bit easier to find on seabreeze...

"You can modify the bullets in your kite so that they release better and hopefully never have to swim to relaunch your kite, first you can sand the sides down to remove a serial code, that helps, also using a small pipe cutter (you can get em at bunnings) to take 10mm of the end of your bullets (which should be 40mm to start with) and round the ends with fine sand paper so they look like the front. So you finish with bullets that are 30mm long and both ends are rounded."
