As mentioned by someone before, this is an international event with major sponsorship.
A lot of people are willing to sell their own child to have a shot at this race
And that is what it is, a race.

Anyone entering should be entering to win, therefore using equipment that will win

Leave your twin tips at home, this is open ocean

Doubt it works like that. Hope you have discussed "selling" your spot with the organisers, as I dont imagine they'll be to happy. Sad that you have to give up your spot though. Beg, steal or borrow to try and make it as it is a blast!
