To all the guys learning to ride strappless, I would say Iam no pro but here is a little pointer.

Its not a TT, so don't put all your wait on the back foot, your weight should either be balanced between both feet or mostly on the front foot depending on the board.
balance the board so it is riding flat, all the bouyancy is in the middle if the board.

I was doing a downwinder on sunday, behind this guy trying to learn going strappless and it was killing me watching him bog down the whole time with the nose up, in the wave zone etc and also coming a bit close to swimming areas with little control.

Cheers

For sure the best tip for strapless is years of surfing experience before kiting.

... well... no
I never surfed, and I have no problem with strapless riding.
You may ask why I use straps then... and the answer is that I am an old-timer who is still thrilled of big (or not always that big) air...
..jibing is much easier strapless, and the rider can take full advantages from free foot positioning....
.. the real problems for beginners strapless is KITE CONTROL !!!!!!!... or the lack of it...
... some time ago wave riding was regarded as an ADVANCED discipline which required the rider to ride without having to look at the kite... so it doesn't matter whether you surfed or not before, be proficient in flying the kite without looking at it before you consider any waves or strapless riding....
