I am sensing some surfer bodyboarder type rivalry between kitey's and poleys.
In this analogy, who would be the bodyboarder and who would be the surfer??

I am thinking anyone getting about the place giving pole dancers a hard time secretly loves pole and wants it bad!!!!!
And I am not talking about windsurfing. I am talking flesh flute, ****ers. Dcik head its all sailing the toy is just the medium.

So we're going to look back 10 years from now and think all kiteboarders are pansies and be ashamed to admit to it? Kids won't be game to try kiteboarding because other kids will call them gay and beat them up? The coolest people will be on windsurfers still, and the sailors of the future will be choosing windsurfing over kiteboarding?
ok, time for your medication. Not that I have anything against windsurfers, pansies or gays, I just think that as an analogy that's a bit...ummm... out there? Perhaps you could explain a bit more?
As for surfers/esky lidders, I dunno, when you're out on the water you don't stop for long enough to chat unless something has gone wrong, and usually that's someone's fault, nothing to do with what they ride. Like an intermediate getting snotted by a beginner in any combination of sailcraft, or one surfer dropping in on another, it hasn't got anything to do with what you ride I reckon. I've never had any hassles in person and all the poleys I've chatted to on the beach are just happy to be out riding, they don't care that I'm a kiter and vice versa.
So lets focus our energy on other things, like chastising kites for not being 100% safe and shops not selling them cheap enough or lessons not being good enough or people now knowing how to self launch or.... what else is on the menu this week?

Let the kities try poling for a week and see how far they get and let poleys try kiting for a week and see how far they get. Then we will see who is truley more talented and which is really "better".
I ask you this. Is surfing "better" than bodyboarding?
Everyone says without a doubt (including all the kiters) surfings better than bodyboard yeh? But why?
Again everyone says, well bodyboarding is easy anyone could do it if they wanted but surfing is alot harder and it takes a lot more skill yeh.
Well therefore windsurfing is better than kiting because it is 10 times harder yeh?

PS. I surf and I get along well with the bodyboarders out my breaks and I windsurf and get on well with kiters out in the break. You are the guys that brought this topic up.
PPS "better". Who has "better" fun. No one because everyone out there riding waves and wind is having fun.
