I am travelling to Noosa from Sydney in September, stopping at Coffs, Byron, Brisbane, Fraser Island and Noosa.
Partner is allowing me to take my kite gear so would appreciate advice on places to kite in the areas listed.

Cotton Tree on the Sunny Coast in a NE is wicked. There is an awesome caravan park right near it too.

The Pass at Byron is underrated I reakon - I had heaps of fun there.
And noosa river mouth.. duh

at that time of year noosa rivermouth should be crankin with the north-easters. the pass it good but im pretty sure kiting is banned there so your best bet is probly lennox.

Nah, should be fine - it would not be on the nswkba website if it was banned.
But.
I was there 6 months ago and a kiter near me managed to lure in a shark from where it was hanging out near a reef a few hundred meters off shore. It followed him for a bit but then vanished... !

Hi there, just to confirm that kiting at the pass has been banned, several other spots around the area are having some trouble as well, "flat rock" has been having a bit of trouble with the local mal riders thinking they own the spot and also "lennox" has had a bit of trouble with the clubies and general public.
So if it is at all possible kite somewhere else or ask a local for some directions or help. Im sure this whole situation will die down soon. Your help in this matter is greatly appriciated.

P.S. Im just asking for a bit of help to spread the word so that something that can be easily resovled doesn't get pushed out of our hands and taken from us.
