I went a few a few years ago, stayed at Ebony Marouk. It's a great spot, uncommercial with laidback charm.
Wind cranks day and night, more a flat water spot than waves. Probably best around Aug, Sept.

Hey LouD,
Sorry for the delayed reply - Ive kited Mauritius a lot - a great place - check out uur website for organised tours (kitethrills.com/Mauritius).
The most popular spot (Le Morne) is fantastic for all types of riding - with cross offshore waves to play in on the outside, and big flat water lagoons inside - the place is perfect for everyone. Its a chilled out place with low crime, and good food. Everyone who has come with us in previous seasons has loved it - we've had about 80 people come with us over the years and most are coming back again and again.
Id be happy to answer any questions.

Hey Louie
Kent had a trip there last year - he should be able to let you know what it's like.

I've been to Reunion and Mauritius
Reunion has some good spots in near Saline Les Bains/ St Leu. Sketchy launch (narrow beach and palm trees, some with shredded kites in them)
Mauritius is great. Le Morne is a hands down epic spot - we stayed in La Gaulette and hired a ute for the week. When there was no wind we went up into the hills.
You can do it easily yourself if you are an experienced traveller although going with a group would be fun for the meeting people aspect. Had an epic last night in Flic en Flac, vaguely remember my mate setting fire to a shot of Sambuca in my mouth...
