just an offbeet question.......as we are all on the puter daily,is anyone recieving junk mail relateing to big winnings in 'various prize winning draws associated with'bogas lottery wins' giveing away big money',I have personally recieved many spam ,junkmail emails confirming me winnings in prize draws amounting to big money in the previous 3 wks...........who gets a fee lunch these days with no questions asked,only full personal particulars........my latest was a winning in 'the microsoft promotions'telling me I have won 500000 in there lastest random draw....I wish happy kiteing p.s how in the f#%& do they get ya email address ?

in answer to your question, its down to the ISP or provider and how they filter spam, some do better than others. gmail is very good and it can be worthwhile forwarding all your email to gmail and back again to filter out the spam. Also a lot of websites that take your email address will either give them away or get hacked and once your email is in the public domain its open to abuse.

useless fact: something like 95% of ALL email around the world is SPAM.
