Wind:
S - great at the Inlet; cross-on on thr surf beach.
SW - Cross-off at the inlet; direct onshore on the surf beach
W - No good at the inlet unless you head a fair way towards the mouth. Cross on at the surf beach.
NW - No good at the inlet but ideal cross-shore on the surf beach.
N - Excellent at the inlet if you make your to the point just north of the road entry point.
NE - Great at the inlet. Direct offshore at the surf.
E - Mostly Cross-on at the inlet; cross-off in the surf.
SE - Great in the Inlet and great cross-shore in the surf.
Can kite/windsurf the inlet at all tides. Watch out for the emerging sand bars as the tide is going out. Can get choppy in the channel with an outgoing tide and S-SW wind but when it is high tide there is a whole lot of flat water over the sand bars.
NW is great if you head up to island at north end of inlet, but high tide only and enjoy kiting with the friendly Stingrays.
