I know a kiter from Singapore. His favourite kiting spot is Perth.

Take that to mean what you will.

(Seriously though, he says it's crap in Singers)

Wouldn’t bother about kiting in Singapore especially in September. Lived there for a couple of years and it’s soul destroying being a kiter or windsurfer. The port authorities have actually banned kiting in Singapore waters (control freaks ).

December to March is the North East Monsoon period where a hint of wind comes about but even then you would need to get over to the Indonesian Island of Bintan (short ferry trip away). Had some superb kiting at Trikora on Bintan also possible at Mana Mana.

Send Rachel at we love windsurfing an email ([email protected]), think it’s the only kiting shop in Singapore.

There’s always the cable ski on East Coast Parkway if you need a fix.

Hello all,
actually the marine authorities has kind of given up.....
There is actually quite a good spot near the airport!
Nothing special but if you are hungry for kitesurfing it will do!
December to March is when the North East monsoon is at his best. NO wind in September in Singapore.
But September is quite good at Trikora beach in Bintan Island, that is only 45 minutes away.

Bye Jankie
