Just wondering what the best angle to set up a slider in relation to the wind?

Directly downwind im guessing your kite would just stall out.. Cross wind im guessing you'd just get pulled off the side so it would obviously need to be somewhere in between.

Can anyone give me some advice from their own experience of this and also any good methods of securing a floating slider on the right angle?

Cheers,

Tom

Lol you pretty much answered your own question..
'Somewhere in between' is exactly where it needs to go - You'll need to hit it over and over again to get it in the right spot... If all else fails, throw it somewhere 'In between' and deal with it.

There are too many variables to have it in the perfect spot, Length is the biggest one - the longer the slider the closer it needs to be to perfect...

Use small boat anchors to secure it, can be picked up at garage sales for $5 each

Upwind slightly is best, it creates the best angle to deadman over it and pull some real tricks. sliders are for wakeboarders.

rowdy is on the money.
the best slider trick is to do a board off over the top of it and tap the slider with both feet together while your toes are pointed and the board is in your hand.
looks awesome

Our beach faces straight north, we kite with our slider pointed at the beach in a NE so you come in on your normal angle, bear downwind 45degrees then hit it.

SO N facing beach, NE wind, Slider pointing straight S.

Hope that's clear

My advice is hit it with speed, makes the angles less critical.
