Looks fat so you might be right hookworm.
Strange if its out there and there have been no rumours
My question would be why would SS need another learner kite when they already have the perfect-for-learners T3 which is also multi functional for more advanced riding.
My daughters got a 7M - how much fun is that when its nuking !!!
Awesome little kite.

Supposed to replace the T3.... It is not a beginner's kite, but a user friendly "fuel". comes with a 4 line bar. supposedly a delta shape

will slingy make a decent bar this time around? or will they make their ususal ****house cleat bar that needs replacing after a few months. I wouldn't mind one of these if they fixed the bars.

Never had to replace a depower cleat the whole 6 years i've flown slingy stuff. If u look after your gear it'll last. My 03 fuel bar still works fine. Personally I'm looking forward to these bad boys.

Well theoretically rev means revolution ,RPM stands for revolutions per minute in theory

Hmm,

  • GTO

  • Fuel

  • Octane

  • Machine

  • Diesel

  • Turbo Diesel

  • Link

  • Rev

  • RPM

I wonder if there's a theme here?

PFR

U must have been unlucky. My slingshot bars etc are as good as the day I bought the them. Can't say the same about my old North bars though (good for one season then they fall apart).

RPM looks good. As far as I'm concerned the more kites slingshot (and any other brand) make the better. Variety is the spice of life!

Surley you thought of this a few years ago
I gota say the link is the odd one out in that bunch though

I was out on a 13 rev today a little overpowered, there was an 8rpm that was going quite well, was only out for 5min after I arrived.
Looked to be turnning quick (was an 8) and well powered
Look out for them being used in the surf by an experianced rider

On Monday I had a chance to get out the 8m RPM in around 18 or so knots cross shore NE.

At first I didn’t think it would have been windy enough with others out on kites from 12s to 9s, im 85kg riding a surfboard.
Looking at the kite there is only 3 struts compared 5 on revs and fuels (unsure if this is just for small sizes or not), about 6 or 7 pigtails for adjustment on the rear lines, two different bridle attachment points for the front lines. The rear line pigtail positions allow you to change “kite feedback” and “bar pressure”. I had it set on the second pigtail in for rear lines and front most bridle position and rigged on equal knots
In the air kite seemed as though it had a lot of power for the wind, but still with lighter bar pressure. Had to pull about 4 inches on the depower to stop kite from over sheeting but could have been done on kite easily.
On the water it was fast and generated a lot of power with heaps of pull, tacked up wind easily and was very stable in the gusty wind that was coming over a headland, on waves it was really good just turn it once onto the wave and would park there perfect, it didn’t want to stall and fall back but looked happy to just stay in the one place.
I didn’t have a chance to relaunch it but it works on the same principle as the rev.
I shared it with another mate who used to ride fuels than went to revs and he really enjoyed it, finding that it was a good crossover from the both.

I have ridden fuels for the past 5 years and haven’t ever really been interested in hybrid, bow kites, but am thinking I will change this year as it felt much more like a fuel but with the depower of the rev, and quicker turning in the waves.

Am hoping to get out a few more times over the next few days on the other sizes as well.
