Just a quick question, I was using a 9m Link today but realised after id rigged it up that the back lines and one of the front lines seemed to have way too much length in them and were bowing quite severely. The other front line however was tight. Is this normal? or is there something Im missing?
Any help would be great.
Oh and the 5th line wasn't attached.
Cheers

is it a 2007 model?
does it have a red bridle?
and wasn't aware you use a 5th line with the link and if you do you should ditch it otherwise it'll rip your kite in half.
all your lines should be even, if not get a new slingshot bar.

links were designed so that you could ride 5th line or bridled 4 line i think?
to me it just sounds like your lines are stretched out... lay em out, connect them all to the same point and pull on the bar and see which lines become tight and which ones hang slack too see if they are stretched or not.

9m link is fine, take all the battens out the LE but not the tips and it will fly heaps better.
as for the lines, unless the wind was super light then just check the bridals for wear and then check the line lengths from the bar, they should all be about the same (i don't use the pigtails when i measure) with the bar pulled in and all the depower off.
otherwise its a good kite, don't let the trolls put you off.
