Hi,
I have a small tear about 4cm long in the leading edge of my kite. The bladder in the kite is not leaking.
What is the best way to have this repaired? I do not live close to any kite shops but live close to a sail maker. The sail maker can stitch the repair using a patch.
Will this cause any problems to the kite? Will the bladder rub on the area repaired and cause it to wear quickly? Any comments would be appreciated.
Cheers.

You could stitch it....wont make a diff, and prob the best way to go. If done proper wont rub the bladder.
alternativly and cheaper, get the patches you get with the kite, check them out make sure they are hard wearing and durable. then cut a small piece of non sticky stuff to cover the tear. Them place the patch over the tear, with the bit of non sticky stuff covering the hole.
You dont want any sticky stuff on the hole, touching the bladder.
Mate did it sept last year, still holding.
