When packing gear for travel the pump is always cumbersome: they are just too big.
So any ideas or brands for smaller pumps. During holidays I don't mind pumping twice as long as I don't have to commute more than an hour to get to the beach.

I remember in 2001 Wipika had very small pumps that came with their 2 liner kites

The pumps that came with early wipika kite where ballon pumps. You should be able to get them from novelty shops. They are a real pain to use on anything larger than a 7. I normally buy a cheap standing pump when I get to where ever I'm going, cost about 30 bucks

When I was with Blade kites they supplied an half size pump with 9m and smaller kites. I kept one for traveling its the perfect size to fit in a board bag.

Just takes more pumps to inflate the kite, so you need a rest before you hit the water

I used one of these once when I left my pump at home once. You actually stand on the bottom part of the pump and it's quite powerful for its size.
