Went up to Hotham on the weekend to check the area where the Snow Tours are to be held this year. There was a foot of snow making up a fairly average snow base compared to past seasons at this time of year. Still had fun on a solid base on the morning sun side of Mt Loch and Mt Hotham using an area about the size of 2 football ovals.

Used a 10 m Speed Flysurfer kite and a pair of solomon twin tips in wind varying from 10knots to 20knots over the day. Traversed for a few hours carving up the area, we created a 3ft kicker over a little bowl of snow and were doing some smallish jumps landing on the side of the bowl was a great weekend all in all.

The first Tour is organised for the weekend 5th and 6th of August. There is a high pressure system coming over at the moment, but there is a cold pressure system on the way, word on the mountain says decent snow is about a week away. Any one wanting info on snow kiting in the area or info on the upcoming snow trips please contact me.
