Hey, where's safe to rig at South Beach? On the narrow beach or on the grass? Or is it banned there too. Aim is to get to crazies.

That area is cool but the aim should be not to let to many people know about Crazies as it is a great spot on the right wind direction and big swell. The last thing we want is a crowd. At the moment 2-3 windsurfers on a good day. Crazies were the ****k is crazies.

Ah..... Forums downfall of the elusive metro (not so)seceret spot. Good luck guys, I didn't know it was a goodn but I'l be keepin an eye on it from now. i'l see you there Clive with the other 53 forum (kite)surfers nyuk, nyuk.
Honestly though ripn up a spot solo or with a bro or two is often too good to share with the rest of the world. If you know a fickle spot or think one might be good check it out and if its good rip it up. If its really good you probably wont want everybody to know either.
Good idea with gathering a bit of knowledge first though Clive, not bagging you out, if you are compitant with kiting expore but if you are a novice or havent sailed in unusual conditions i would recomnd sticking with what you know.
Looks like a bit of puff tomoro yeeehaaa.

well known car break in spot, dont leave anything in the car if you still want it, pays to leave a window down so they wont get broken, SB car park is a bit safer but still dodgy.

tricky launch over broken glass and rocks, the odd shark sighted there andi think last time i was ecoli was floating in the water...

enjoy

Yeh, like that spot's real quiet. All you can hear is the chink of bolt-cutters and the scratching of duco. And we don't want too many punters stealing the onshore slop and horrific gusts. (where's the sarcasm smiley-face hey Laurie?)
So no answers - looks like I'll just take off from the Left Bank, squeeze under the bridge, up the harbour and out.

I can't believe some people seriously believe there are any secret spots left around around here! I guess it's nice to entertain some psychotic collective belief :-)

without taking the piss, wouldnt crazies be a good summer kite spot.flat water sandy not many people around (apart from thieves)cross shore. I would have thought it would be a prick of a spot in winter being dead onshore all the time, maybe thats why no one kites there clorv ?

It all comes back to my original query, where to launch? But you're right, but even flat water gets boring on a teabag for me after a while. Take me back to Tombstones cos I'm so frikkin hardcore man.

Enjoy the jam on Friday? Your harp went well with that tism tune.
Hey the mouthpiece on my carbon fibre dij is disintegrating. Reckon you could make a permanent one out of fibreglass?

I have windurfed Crazies for years. On true NW it is not direct onshore but slight on cross. The waves are about shoulder high and 6 to 8 waves rolling in a row. I much prefer to kite in swell and chop than flat water so for me this is just an awesome spot. It is similar to south side of woodies on a strong SW with a swell running.
