Address was correct and i also know few other people down southern end of goldcoast that also paid at mambo and still no tag either.
I was told few months back that it was on it's way.

Cheers Angie

Hi Angi pangi,

I have been getting the Mambo memberships sorted, it took a long time and effort to get the full list from the Mambo organisers. But the lists have now gone out to the state kite associations to issue the tags, so you should get yours soon. I apologise for the delays, the Mambo guys run a great event and it was only the last link in the chain that was missing for the details to get to AKSA.

This is one of the reasons we were encouraging kiters to join up via their State KSA online registration BEFORE going to Mambo, then it is done and your tag be dispatched correctly. I would once again encourage you to renew at the start of Oct 2010 via your state KSA, then you will have your tag (or your name on the membership list) by Mambo. This makes things easier on the Mambo organisers, we have supplied AKSA volunteers to take memberships in the past, but the Mambo guys found it easier to do it themselves.

I think you contacted me via [email protected] enquiring about your tag, but you were the only one I had heard from, at that time I was told the list was on it's way but it took a lot longer.

Regards

Please understand i really don't care about how or why my tag is taking so long but i'm telling you these new members do.

Actually i was told it was in the mail over 2 months ago? Few other people down southern end goldcoast have got the same problem & they joined at mambo aswell.
It's no problem for me as i dont really care & have my own insurance but these new members do care about why it's taking so long. Just doesn't look good from their side of things.
They have wasted half the year of seqka membership, as they cant receive club info on demo days, meetings, bbq's etc.. or the seqka nights out as they aren't on database yet. They wouldn't even know who is on the committee or president. Would be great to see these new people given the opportunity to go along to next meeting or agm, as isn't that what they pay for, other then insurance.
I know the committee do hard work, i've done it myself but you have to look at it thru these new members eyes, why should we join? That's what im hearing from them coming into shop.
I can't answer it for them, i dont even have membership forms in shop still LOL! Plently of new students out there on water now and they could be members.

I know it's hard and it's a comb of things that have gone wrong with these tags getting out but still try listening to these members waiting on tags, they have strong arguments.

I try to encourage every new student to log on and join as no-one from seqka has dropped in membership forms into shop but it's hard to justify when you have other kiters on beach telling them, dont waste your $. The only visit we got from 1 committee member wasn't very, well smart, should i say but that was many months ago, nothing since.

My thoughts,

ps, if anyone from seqka club can post info on up and coming days/meetings etc.. on here for these new members that would be great. No one ever checks seqka site.

Hmmmmm things ran a lot smoother when Emma was handling memberships.

Now it's handled by volunteers things are a lot slower.

The old ways weren't so bad....

For all those that bitch and moan about memberships and the performance of the assosiations.
Why not get off your arses and volenteer some time to help out! it's all very well sitting on the sidelines bitching and moaning.

The assosiations do the best they can given the time we have available (well nswkba anyway)

You'd be the first to whinge when the fees have to go up to pay for the EFT service. For such a small amount of transactions but a large $$ cost to set up it wouldn't be worth it.

Suck it up, don't be a tight arse and pay the way they want....or not....maybe they don't want whingers as members.

well mate they say assumptions are the mother of all ****ups . I actually wouldn't mind the increase in fees but guess what, there is no increase in fees for EFT genius .

All they have to do is have a bank account and publish the bsb and account number , we have literally 100's of EFT payments a week from my clients and guess what they pay for that service ????

NOTHING as it is a simple transfer of money between bank accounts .

Whats your next failed attempt at cutting me down genius ?
