Hey all,

My smallest end strut on my airush 04 14mt Flow keeps blowing out. I have had it heat sealed twice now! I fear its all over and may need a whole new strut bladder. However they only sell struts as sets(so I am told. I always slowly under pump it. Dont know why it keeps crapping itself.

Any hints or tips on fixing or getting just a single replacement for a good price would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.....

I have brought single strut replacements from airborne for an old lift on a couple of occasions. It was about thirty bucks.

maybe sealing it so many times has made it too small, if you can find thin PU, NOT PE, you could put a patch on it, by either heat sealing (make sure you melt it good) or use stormsure (i use this and have never had a problem).

Thanks for the tips guys!

I have had it heat sealed twice because the blow out happens right at the end tip of the strut. I have already shortened it by about 4cm from the heatsealing. I always pump it up lightly to around 7psi(meant to be 10psi).

I tried emailing Airborne but no response yet, may give them a call. I think a replacement is the only way.

BTW where can you buy stormsure from? Boating supplies or hardware store?

Thanks again

clark rubber, i blew out the end of my fuel leading edge blader a few times, i looked at it and found that the tip of the bladder was smaller than the tip of the strut, so i made sure it was bunched up at the end and didnt have problems any more.

We stock all Airush Kites bladders and they are available separately or as a complete set.

We currently have over $12,000 worth in stock, this is one of the advantages of buying Airush we stock a complete range of spare parts and do sell strut bladders individually.

Tim,

The Leading edge Bladder for the 12m is $125 and the struts are $35 each or $225 for the whole set.

Bloody expensive I know, but possibly worth the piece of mind on the water.

Uber your bladder should arrive tomorrow.

Thanks,

Ian Grose
