meeting somewhere in the middle sounds good.
how about the murry mouth and coorong in South Australia. you got ocean swell on one side of coorong and flat water on the other and there's plenty of chop in the freshwater lakes of alexandrina and albert (hope i got that right).
accomodation and pubs in Goolwa, Victor harbour or even Meningie.
And its warm enough in summer too!!

Hi - sorry so long getting back. Joe Bidawid mentioned me in Kiteboarding a few months ago and there was a pic of me in letters about a year ago, so prob not what you're thinking. I've been in Kiteboarder a lot - mostly in the send it section but I was in a cable park feature too. I'm guessing the one you saw was of the older groms like Sammy Medysky - I'm not as good as him yet - give me time!

How about Double Island Point just north of Noosa Qld. Great camping on the beach, ride both the Noosa River mouth and the bay at Rainbow Beach on a NE. There is also 40km of surf beach to ride in both NE and SE winds. Been there many time and have had epic sessions.
