Anyone recommend a brand or type of sunny strap so my sunnies don't fall off when kiting?

Unfortunately I am going to have to take that risk. I have prescription sunnies, and obviously I need them on to see what I am doing. I've been kiting for months without them and I surprised how much I've achieved, but I really need them to avoid collisions with others.

I also require scrip glasses, got myself a pair of SeaSpecs ($50) and the opti fitted scrip lens. the built in strap is much better than something you will fit on normal glasses, and they don't fog up like my everyday sunnies do.

Thanks for those tips guys. Yeah I agree with the string non-elastic method as you don't want them springing out and smack back on your face!
I am going out for a session today with a makeshift string idea and I'll let you know the results.
fogging is easy to avoid. get anti fog spray from a dive shop or simply spit into the lens, wash and away you go!

I haven't got them with me ATM so don't know what brand they are but I picked up these floating straps at a boating store Whitworths, they might not look that flash by they work well.
They have a little toggle that you can pull up tight when you go out on the water, I originally bought the strap so I could wear my normal sunnies when just going for a flatwater paddle on my SUP without fear of losing them but I now use them for kiting as well.

I find my normal sunnies fog up less than all of the watersport specific sunnies that are closer fitting with rubber or foam around them, they feel fairly secure and although I haven't had them come off yet I think they would float and I would find them if I did.
