Looking at doing an Endurance Run on the weekend, maybe Mudjimba to Double Island Point? or Noosa to Double Island Point? Anyone keen? Anyone got a 4wd we can use to meet us at the point and a cameraman to hold the video camera to get some footage? If we cant get a 4wd maybe we can do a run from the south tip of Bribe Island to Coolum or something?

I'm keen for a Bribie to Caloundra run on the weekend, I've been wanting to do that for a while...long way from help though..

Weekend means there are loads of 4wd going up the beach, u wouldnt go long without transport or communications in an emergency. But Bribe would suit me fine... now I need someone to go the rest of the way to Coolum with me :P.

Same distances out as old women and we go there all the time, just have to go dwind of the point for about a k before heading west back to the coast.

Bribie/Woorim too Caloundra is about 35k's...don't know about the rest. You LEI fellas might have to take a pump....hah...hahh....hahh!

I'm keen to go from the northern most tip of bribie, to Bulcock Beach, then back, then forth, then back, then forth, and repeat.

I'm pretty keen on long runs...a bit of adventure...we could have our own club....The Long Rangers....yeahaw....get me my kite tonto.

I wanna go AU to NZ one day... seriously! have a yacht backing me up. Andrew McAuley had made me a little apprehensive in this adventure though... *moment of silence for the legend*...







However Vic to Tas would be an interesting challenge. If anyone knows of a boat (BIG BOAT) that would serve as a backup let me know.

Insomniac me didnt get to sleep until daylight So now im mega tired. Keen on an early run though... just not on the endurance (ill do that tomorrow if you all want). Dustin or skeggs or anyone sms what ur plans r and ill b there, i cant be bothered organising anything.

8 of us did the bribie run today - not enough wind but most made it.
We got pulled up by the park rangers and told that kiting is not allowed!
Have to do some more research on this and I have asked Dave from Kitethrills to investigate,

Bugger. I would have thought that this would be the last place that kiting would be banned. No residential areas from Woonm to the end of Bribie island why would it be banned? This doesn't sound correct, have kited on the Northern end of Bribie a few times and never had a problem. Where there any signs?

Well that's strange. I kite at bribie regularly...on the water and on a land board and never had a problem.

I'm keen X-trail if the wind kicks in..
