Thanks to all those that replied, and also to the guys on the beach on Saturday. I forgot to pack the smaller kite and my 14 was just a tad too big with the gusts and all. I was really looking forward to having a go in the waves, I have fun in the larger swells way out back at Sandgate, poping over on the out run and surfing on the swells on the in run. But they are way different from the waves at Maroochydore. Next time I will remember to pack both kites and both boards. My oldest son gives me a dirty look when I say I want to try the surf, he has a thing about surfers, I have no idea why. Anyway I am looking forward to the next opportunity to have a go up there.

A big thanks to the helpful kiter who helped me land, reset the lines, launch and then land again when I gave up in disgust for not bringing the smaller kite.
