Just trying to find out what condition the part of the bridle that the pulleys run on can get to before they should be replaced

If in doubt - change it out.

run your finger and thunb along the line. These lines have a cross weave on the outside wrapped around an inside line. Its the inside line that fails. If you feel thin bits alone the line, especially where the bridle wears, its gonna go!

I was looking at the wear on the out side.
