A mate an I are on holidays for the next 6 weeks. I'm wondering where around Sydney would be good for a NW wind? I know that Picnic Point is good in a SW, not sure about a W or NW as I have only been there once before, and judging by the Norah Head wind station which is meant to extremely close to picnic point (google earthed it) in a NW and W this place is consistantly 5 - 10knots below everywhere else and extremely gusty in W winds in anything other than a SW/SSW.

I live in northern Sydney if that makes any difference, but I dont mind driving around. Is Kurnell any good?

I'm eager, just got a 9m and 133 board, so I can now go out on those super windy days too

Get outa town young man .Jump on a plane and head north north north (as in QLD from Mackay up)
Having said that had a very nice day on lake macquarie today .Ballistic winds and butter smooth water .boosted into a gust and got secondary lift at the top ,nooice and busted a front line ,then got stranded on an island but managed to jerry up a makeshift line set from the remains and got home safely.The monthly wait for wind is a bit frustrating tho .
