I've met so many people on the beach this last week who have not seen the WAKSA Opening Season Downwinder advertised. It sounds like a lot of people are coming but there are still many who have not read about it.

Today, Sunday 25th September, WAKSA is sponsoring a gathering for all people in WA interested or involved with kitesurfing.

Be at Brighton Beach (car park just south of Scarborough) at midday. You don't have to be a WAKSA member to come, although you will have the opportunity to join or renew your WAKSA membership ($60). We've organised a bus to take you and your gear down to City Beach to launch and do a downwinder back to Brighton where we'll put on a sausage sizzle and free drinks (yes Free beer).

Full details are on the new WAKSA website www.waksa.org.au

Remember it is today. See you on the beach.

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the WAKSA event today. It was beautiful weather, plenty of food and drinks organised by Alex and Emma Bell, and the sea breeze came in strong enough to have the downwinder as planned. It could not have been a better opening to the season. Well done everyone.
