I'm 94 kgs and 6ft still rather new so keen to be on the water any chance there is! Wondering what size twintip i should be looking for to use in choppy conditions? Useing a naish thorn 136*42 as it was cheap. Anything that will make staying up wind easier and speed up my learning!

That size should be fine for your height and weight from my experience (i.e. similar to you).
As for up wind tips, the best tip I got when learning was to imagine you have a 20c piece and clinch this between your but cheeks... why?
1/ by doing this it pushes your abs forward, puts a * better/ the right * pressure on the heel rail and gives you a better/ necessary stance to go up wind.
2/ Also consider your overall position, bent ish front leg, straighter rear leg, then, FOCUS.
3/ Look where you are wanting to go (i.e. an upwind spot on the horizon) too (as this is where you will go)...
Enjoy!

Dont waste your money yet mate, untill you can go up wind and feel comfortable on your board you want be able to get a good demo in any way.
Going up wind IMO
-Get your speed up first
-Go down wind 1st as you probebly trying to go up wind strate off
-Work on your stance "bend your back leg and use it to adjust board direction"
-Put your sholders back and lean back
-Try it one handed "hand in middle of bar"
