yea id just like to say a big thank you to the people kiting at woodies today who went out of their way and gave up some of their free time just to help rescue my kite after my suicide leash mysteriously unbuckled from my handle pass system on my harness.

When You say "handlepass system" Im thinking you are talking about a BEST handlepass leash? (the red foam tube on the leash which comes with the 2007 bar) Not sure?

Dont get me wrong - I love BEST kites and fly them myself, but Im still unsure about the 2007 handlepass leash. I've taken mine off cos I found that I couldnt trust it! It seemed to come apart to easily. Ive changed mine back to the old leash and attached a quick release shackle.

What is the benefit of the handle pass leash? anyone know? Im sure there is a reason for it but I cant seem to see the benefit myself.

Stay away from anything who says "Buy 2 and get 1 free"!

Why? Ive got 3 Waroo's which have cost me about the same as what it might cost to buy 1 airush/Naish/Cabrihna/other.

Those kites are great too, but money talks!

The benefit of a handle pass leash? You can do handle passes? Sorry, but I'm not sure what you are describing here. Are you refering to a suicide leash? If not, how does this "handle pass leash" work?

Click the link. Its on the bottom of the page on the right. Its just an added safety I think, but I guess Im just used to having a quick release shackle.

what i mean by handle pass system is the piece of string that runs across ur harness to allow the leash to move freely from left to right.
the leash unbuckled from the string on the harness, the safety was not activated on the leash. i still dont understand how the clip could unbuckle, disconnecting me from my kite.

i use a naish harness.

good night fellas.

it happens the water, your harness, you manages to flick the gate open. Its a mystery how exactly it happens but it does. Put it on a ring and it doesnt seem to happen though, or get some pvc tube and make like a carabiner using the tube.

Carbine is correct my kite flew out to sea about probably 5 or 6 times before I finally decided enough was enough. I now have a peice of string tied from the clip to the rope for back up and a rubber tube over the gate to prevent it from opening.

Hope this helps. Also the leash still has a QR for all you safety freaks... although slightly taped up.

Hmmm why not just tie a rope across your harness like I have? Nothing to can open
or come undone that way...

I'll have to do that real soon too. I've just started unhooking the last couple of weeks and have had my leash come undone twice already! I've also hit the chicken loop safety when trying to hook back in, fortunately not at the same time the leash has come off. Not something you want happening at offshore woodies

A famous saying "You buy what you pay for"
In this case you are buying a kite that copies all the other brands ideas and claim it as their own. Best literally stole the GK sonic.

oh snap!

someone had to say it i guess.

still, the sonic kicks the ass out of the waroo and waroo pro, so they didn't do such a great job of stealing anyway.

think of them as a poor man's sonic

Again "money talks" - Ive never been into politics much and where ideas originate doesnt really bother me..... Ford - Holden?? who really cares! No disrespect, but I dont really care who did what first.

i've been demoing kites for this season..so far: FLEXIFOIL atom, AIRUSH vapor (10 & 12 ), AIRUSH flow, RRD type 9, ...favourite so far by a long shot -BEST YARGA . so that 3-4-2 deal is looking like the best deal in kite surfing going today.
try it before you bag it.
