To the guys who helped me retrieve my kite and board today at pelican point. I stacked an sbend and my leash clasp broke, sending my kite off to wherever it wanted to go.
I didn't manage to catch up with the guys after, but whoever you are thank you very much.
No big damage done, small rip in the canopy of my kite and a broken leash.
This is a reminder to people that a good leash is a very very wise investment.

Again thanks to the guys who went out of their way to help me.

Good news mate. Encouraging for the sport to read these types of stories.

yer - i might jump on the back of this thread - thanks to the guy last thursday at melville who came out to assist me when my kite twisted and couldnt be relaunched. Grabbed my board and took it in for me, while i attempted to self-rescue for the first time. didnt get a chance to thank him - was a great help. and i spent the next 2 hours trying to untangle massive birdsnest in me lines
