Perfect winter day, 15-20 knots, sun shining and water all to myself.
5 minutes into a session I buggered my ankle while practicing a back roll transition in shallow water , with a nasty hobble back to the beach.
I was lucky enough to meet a fellow kiter and his mate on the beach, who very kindly helped land my kite, pack it and the bar up, AND CARRY me back to my car! Even offered to drive me to the Rosebud Emergency Department.
I just wanted to say A BIG THANKYOU to those people (sorry, don't know any names)!
There's some very nice people around, especially in the kiting scene.
Won't know if I've broken it for another week, but fingers crossed I'll be able to get out to those great winter northerly days soon.
