G'day, I'm wanting to just try somewhere different this long weekend, haven't been around the entrance before. I checked the nswkba site and it lists Picnic Point which sounds like a good spot for SW/NW winds, but this weekend looks like it might be SE? The map also has the beach opposite as a spot, but I can't find any detailed info about it.
Anyone got some more info on places around there? Anyone else going to be up there this weekend?

I'll be up that way at Norah Head. Fri and Sat are looking the goods. Checked google earth and Norah Head and Soldiers Point will def work on a S-SE wind, although there will be a decent swell to contend with. Canton works on a South wind but l think the general rule is that it blows 5knots lighter than right on the coast, and it can be gusty

I was up there this last weekend.
Coast looks good for kiting in SE , and the wind was blowing. But at Picnic point there was nothing. So I dont think you can expect much there this friday/saturday in the current SE prediction.
Water did look nice and flat. but launch a bit sketchy. self launch more so.
I Came down to longy later in the day - and the wind was much better.
I might pop up there on Saturday...

SE = Toowoon Bay. Just south of the Entrance. Awesome spot, just gets a little crowded!

Nah Nah Toowoon bay sucks ass i wouldn't even bother try umina heaps more room and better waves!!
