I'm looking for a cheap traction pad for my Shinster Board preferably in white. Anyone knows where to get them?

I went already to Clark Rubber and they didn't have. I had it on wax last season but to be honest I didn't enjoy it on wax.

Cheers.

My bro has got this and it looks good - http://www.kitehut.com/kite-hut-shinnster-style-surf-board-foot-pad-package-p-126.html circa $100.

Or you could go for the Shinnster Launchpad - www.shinnworld.com/#!launchpad/c1xvg circa $220!

I waxed mine and didn't like it. But then someone showed me how to do a good wax job and now I prefer it to a pad.

I got my shinnster when I was in the states for $500 with the fancy Launchpad included. I like the pads however they came unglued from the foam (the 3M adhesive stuck to the board) so I had to cement it back on in several places. It wouldn't be too hard to copy the general shape with a normal trackpad doubling/tripling the pad or using some high density foam under the main pad in strips for better foot support.

Hi Guys,

We have one only traction pad to suit the Shinnster. This is the original pad for this board and is white. $180.

Search ebay for advection deck pad, a guy from hastings point sells a full deck grip for $58. Sorry i cant post a link from my work computer...

I put put one on my shinnster. Fits really good. The pack is 3 parts. I used the tail pad and the front pad. Then cut up the middle section to add a ridge under the centre of the front pad. Works really nicely.

Waxed the nose for some backwards riding ;)

Love my shinnster btw! Pretty much all I ride now

Thanks guys, lots of great suggestions :).

KIT33R: from what I read on Kiteforum.com Mark the guy in the video has several prototypes that he likes to play with. The Launchpad looks amazing.. but at $180 I don't know.

The vanguard in the launchpad video is a custom made one Mark Shinn got done by a board builder he knows so it won't be a shinn model. He was asked about it on a kiteforum post.

Eternalnoob, just get some cheap deckpads and glue some strips of high density foam in the same places as the shinn launchpad if you're trying to save a few bucks. That's essentially what's under the shinn launchpad giving it its shape. The rails are nice but not as noticeable as the shape under the feet.
