Can anyone suggest the best way to manage the lines on setup, drift launch and life-line recovery? Catchers are rare where I kite so I always get left with a tangled mess after self-landing and potential tangles on launch.

I really love my T2 but find this the worst aspect. Have owned Naish with Shift which was much simpler. Have tried disconnecting the y-bridle at kite which seemed like a good idea but wasn't

Also has anyone noticed wear where the 5th goes through the C-loop and further up at the metal rectangle? Have sent pics to my dealer and modded my C-loop already.

Cheers, Phil

Self landing,
saffer's technique works brilliantly with Tribals.
Using lifeline- while holding life line disconnect from bar so you don't drag bar up with you, hold both life line and centre line so you keep a little tension on the front lines as well. This keeps kite on ground as you walk up lines to kite.

no signs of wear as you describe.

with setup laying lines down wind keeps all lines in perspective.
disconnect lifeline at junction of two yellows. setup is axactly like any 5thline kite. The Y 5th bridle is just a bit longer. when you wind up the lifeline Y into a roll use the velcro of the dump valve to secure it for packing, this stops it getting tangled when packing.

Had my 5th line snap on Sunday, a 06 Tribal though. Partly my fault, the tubular sleeve protecting it where it runs through the bar has travelled up the line on a few occasions and caused what be called,"non fair wear".
