I'm heading to Perth over Easter. Form the 28 march to the 8th of April. And me and my parents will be driving along the coast from Perth up to Exmouth. So i was wondering should i pack my kite gear/ will there be any wind at that time of the year (if so what sort of strength)?

Kite gear takes up hardly any room. Especially if you put 2 kites in one bag. The answer is always YES.
Should I take my kite to WA? Yes
Should I take my kite to the family xmas? Yes
Should I take my kite to europe? Yes
Should I put my kite in the back of my car at my mate's wedding at the Gold Coast? Yes
Should I put my kite in the back of my car at my own wedding ? YES

As Eppo said the wind can switch off around April, I wouldn't be to confident of getting any sort of consistent wind then.

Id love to be positive and say bring it all and if you were road tripping with kite buddies then I would say yep mad if you don't.
You may get lucky and get a few days of wind if you are in the right spot at the right time but I'm not to sure wether it is worth the hassle of bringing a lot of kit if you are travelling with your parents, suppose it depends how flexible they are.

There is going to be at least a couple of days of driving and I would imagine they are going to want to do a bit of sightseeing so it's not going to give you many days to hang out at the beach but having said that you will be spewing if you rock up somewhere like sandy bay and the wind is in and you haven't got any gear.

Keep an eye on the forecast graphs for Central West (Gero) and North West (Shark Bay and Exmouth) and you will get an idea of what to expect.

im with dm on this one, weve just gone from regular 30s to not a lot, what may save the day is shark bay and exmouth as they are kiteable on both sides so look for some easterly patterns
