The arrows on the weather app for wave forecast, do they reference the left hand wave height in feet or the wave period in seconds?
Or, the light blue filled in line, does that reference Wave height in feet or wave period in seconds?

Thanks,

The orientation of the arrow is the swell direction. (Local topography define which swell direction works best),
the middle of the arrow reads the period on the right hand side of the graph (the higher the better 12+ = good waves)
the blue swell line is the swell size read off the left of the graph and also in wind graph.......
The same size swell with a larger period will increase the breaking wave size onshore.....
eg 4 foot swell at 10 seconds equals 4 foot breaking wave
4 foot swell at 16 seconds equals 6 foot breaking wave (about 50% increase) ??

Bejesus.
No wonder surfies look so glum sitting out there in the line-up.
Having to work all that out must seriously wipe their brains of all other emotional capacity ... AND after three bongs and a Kentucky Fried in the car park, of course.

And for The kites - the green wind arrows at the end of 7 days - is to give you 'hope'

Though it's really gonna be 5 knots
