Having now seen some photos and sent my letter I recon Wave's got it spot on...overcrowding of a beautiful place. The Council needs to take some action to preserve a natural jewel. Recon if they could keep the boats in a marked channel and ban all other motorized craft like jet skis and speed boats to make room for canoes, kayaks, surfers, swimmers and of course kiters the problem would be solved, less noise.

Matt and Rob went to Council on Tuesday,to make it short the Council's main problem is with, not just kiter's but everyone useing the mth in the area we call 'The Frying Pan' which is the little sand spit just inside the mth itself, it is being desicrated by all (4wd's,boat's,fishermen etc) and is upsetting the wild life from doing it's thing.They are proposing to ban everyone from there(right of the first beach access entry from the north side),so there are many thing's contributing to the kiter's dillema.All we can do is to promote ourselves as responsible people ,hopefully allowing the continued use of the mth for kiteing(only about 40 day's a year at most for ideal kiteing condition's)
